1. Lesson Times
Please arrive on time for your lesson. If you arrive late, the remaining time will be used, but the lesson will not be extended past the regular endpoint. Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early. If you are the first student for the day, or the student before you is away, I may not be here to let you in if you arrive very early.
Tuition fees must be paid within the first 2 weeks of each term. Students must have a piano at home which is kept in good condition and tuned as necessary. A keyboard is not sufficient. Students need a specific time set aside daily for practice, and music books must be looked after at home and brought to each lesson. Attendance at concerts is expected.
NB. Parental support is essential for the success of young students. Please assist your children at home with piano practice, and don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions.
There are no make-up lessons or refunds for cancellations made by students. Please understand that lessons are paid for in advance to reserve a regular spot in my teaching schedule. Unlike people working in other professions I cannot resell that time nor can I create extra teaching time in which to give lessons. If students are unable to make it to a lesson it will not be rescheduled or refunded.
4. Discontinuing Lessons
30 days’ notice (4 lessons) is required if the student decides to discontinue lessons. Students are welcome to, but are not required to, attend lessons during the 30-day notice period, but tuition fees are still expected for that period. Tuition fees are non-refundable.
The teacher reserves the right to discontinue lessons for any reason, which may include lack of practice, unpaid fees, frequent absences, behavioural issues, and destruction or damage of studio property.
